When I select 1 Apr - 30 Apr 2024 in the market share trends dataset, it displays the data for 31/3/2024 aswell as the April data.

It is a trends/line chart, so it does need at least two points. The end of the previous month is doubling as the start of the current month.
I think you might be after the snapshot version, here.
